The DJI CSM (Circular Scanning Millimetre-Wave) Radar is a bolt-on object detection system specifically engineered for the Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 350 RTK platforms. It serves as a vital safety redundancy, enabling the drone to sense and avoid small or thin obstacles—such as power lines, high-voltage wires, and tree branches—that are often difficult for standard vision sensors to detect.

This radar system is a critical asset for night-time operations or low-visibility missions where the built-in vision system may not function. By offering 360° horizontal coverage, it effectively addresses the blind spots of the aircraft's original sensors, providing a comprehensive safety perimeter for the drone even in complete darkness.

Advanced Obstacle Avoidance & Detection

• 360° Horizontal Awareness: Provides continuous circular scanning for full horizontal coverage, supplemented by 60° vertical and 45° upper detection angles.

• Millimetre-Wave Precision: Capable of detecting objects between 1.5 to 30 meters (approximately 5 to 98 feet).

• Adjustable Braking and Warning System: Allows pilots to pre-set specific braking distances; the drone will automatically stop or alert the operator via color-coded visual cues (Red/Yellow/Green) and audio beeps on the remote controller.

• All-Weather Reliability: Features an IP45 rating, protecting the unit from low-pressure water jets and allowing for operations in diverse environmental conditions.
